Enhancements and fixes

  • MSA 2040 iSCSI host connections are now supported.

Prerequisites

The HP MSA SRA requires the following:

  • Two VMware vCenter servers running a supported version of ESX or ESXi, one at each site.

  • Two instances of VMware SRM installed, one at each site.

    • VMware recommends installing SRM on servers that are not running vCenter.

    • Do not configure SRM prior to installing the SRA.

    • Additional prerequisites exist for SRM. For more information, see the VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager Release Notes on the VMware website at http://www.vmware.com/support/srm/srm-compat-matrix-5-0.html.

  • Two supported HP MSA Storage Systems with Remote Snap licensed and configured, one at each site.

    • P2000 G3 MSA firmware must be TS251P002-04. If needed, obtain and install the latest TS250 firmware from the HP Support website at http://www.hp.com/support/downloads.

IMPORTANT: All controllers installed in the HP MSA Storage Systems must be the same model.
